SUSTAINABILITY

OUR PLEDGE

We care about our environment, and pledge to continue to be conscious about every decision and action we take to become more sustainable. We’re not perfect, but we keep on striving to do better.

MATERIALS

Since 2022 we have exclusively used 100% recycled gold and sterling silver, reducing our emissions without impacting the quality of our jewellery.

TRACEABILITY

All metals and gemstones are ethically and transparently sourced. We only use fair-mined gold and silver and certified diamonds and gemstones.

PACKAGING

Our jewellery boxes and packaging are 100% recyclable and compostable, we use FSC-certified materials which are printed with soy-based and water-based inks. To minimise waste, we encourage both mailer and jewellery boxes to be reused to extend their purpose and lifespan.

RECYCLED MATERIALS

GOLD VERMEIL

We use a base of 925 sterling silver which is then layered with 18k gold of at least 2.5 microns thick.

SILVER

We only use certified 925 sterling silver which is 92.5% pure silver mixed with alloys to create durable pieces.

9 KARAT GOLD

We use certified 375 gold for its timeless and durable nature.

Our ateliers are based in the gemstone capital of Jaipur. They were thoughtfully chosen as they actively embrace diversity, equality and inclusion within the workplace, are part of the Responsible Jewellery Council, and align with our sustainability pledge.

They make a conscious effort to reduce their pollution and greenhouse emissions by using solar energy, and are regularly audited by SMETA, who audit labour standards, health & safety, environment and business ethics.

WE CLEAN UP AFTER OURSELVES

E-commerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support cutting-edge companies that remove carbon from the air.

Here's how it works: For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct. Those companies use that money to remove however much carbon our shipments created. Any extra funds go toward the further development of carbon removal technologies.

CIRCULARITY PROGRAMME

Exchange your unwanted jewellery for a STELLAR 79 piece

REPAIR

This year to further reduce waste, we will be taking our first steps into circulatory through the launch of our Recycle Your Unwanted Jewellery Programme. An essential step towards our sustainability pledge.

RECYCLE

This programme will be focused on giving broken and damaged beyond repair deadstock jewellery a new life. This deadstock jewellery will be melted down into recycled metals and repurposed into new jewellery pieces.

REPURPOSE

Come on this journey with us. All you have to do is send us all your unwanted hallmarked sterling silver or solid gold jewellery from any brand, and we will recycle and repurpose them. In return you will receive a credit note to use against your next STELLAR 79 purchase.
